Feast Night with Eaten Alive
WHATS ON
Join us at Outside for a special evening with Eaten Alive, as chefs Pat Bingley and Glyn Gordon return to the stoves for a one off set-menu dinner celebrating fermentation, flavour and provenance.
Founded in 2016, Eaten Alive was born from a shared passion for fermentation developed while working in some of the UK’s finest restaurants, including The Ledbury, L’Enclume and The Fat Duck. Now the UK’s leading independent producer of fermented pickles and sauces, Eaten Alive works with the Gordon Ramsay Group, LEON and many other top food businesses and retailers.
With over 20 years of combined experience, Pat and Glyn relish the opportunity to get back behind the stoves. Their occasional forays into the kitchen focus on seasonality, provenance and, of course, their shared obsession with fermentation.
“The matchless umami developed through fermentation lends nearly all our favourite foods their mystique — from the simple pleasures of great sourdough and cheese, through to complex enzymic processes in miso and chocolate. There is no denying that fermentation is a key to great flavours.”
Eaten Alive produces award-winning kimchi, sauerkrauts, hot sauces and ingredients, supplying some of London’s finest restaurants including Soho House group, as well as selling direct to consumers. What began as a stall at London’s Borough Market quickly grew in demand from both chefs and customers, and Eaten Alive is now stocked by Whole Foods, Planet Organic, Ocado, independent delis and via their online shop.
