Outside Devon • A four week beginners ceramics course in our new pottery studio at Outside in South Devon

Class Information

Over four classes you will learn each stage of making, aiming to complete one item of the set per week. You will finish the course with a selection of your own dinnerware made by you from start to finish!

Over four weekly classes you will learn the techniques to throw, trim and decorate your own mug, bowl and plate.

This class is suitable for all abilities, however is particularly suited to potters that have taken part in one of our 'Introduction to Ceramics' classes as well as more experienced potters who would like to improve their throwing.

This course will be held every Wednesday afternoon from 4pm-6.20pm. All class dates are set and can’t be amended or swapped.

Class Dates & Times:

8th November : 16:00-18:20

15th November : 16:00-18:20

22nd November : 16:00-18:20

29th November : 16:00-18:20

Please note that the last 20 minutes of each class will be for the tidy-up of your wheel or workstation.

Materials and firings for your dinnerware set are included in the course fee, if you would like to glaze and fire any additional pieces we charge a small £5 fee per item which can be paid for in the studio.

We supply aprons but please wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty! This course is suitable for ages 14+ and each course is for a small group of four people. We will let you know with as much notice in advance of any changes to the date or time of any of the classes.

Cancellations

You have 14 days from booking this course in which to cancel and receive a full refund, if you have booked last minute and there are less than 14 days before the date of the class no refund of exchange will be offered, but you can transfer the booking to a person of your choice.
