Outside Skate Jam
The Jam!
The date has been set!
It's time to show us your skills and tricks, enter one of the three categories, under 12's, under 16's and OPEN all judged by Sam Sheridan (Outside skate coach) alongside George Chegwin and Shay Stone. The Under 12’s and Under 16’s categories will be split into girls and boys.
Each category will be a mixed group of 20 skaters, please book into the relevant time slot above, the entry fee is £5 (free for members - please email, call or message us to join in), you can find the timings below. You do not need to buy a ticket to spectate.
We’ll be firing up the outdoor BBQ all afternoon, followed by pizzas and DJs into the evening. As well as a full day of skating and food, we’ll be joined by Cerys Callard running a ‘Decorate your Skate Deck’ workshop, vintage clothing pop up from XXX and Make Good Prints who will be printing customised Outside T-Shirts. Whether you’re skating or just coming to watch, you won’t want to miss it.
Timings on the day
12:30 pm - 1:30pm : Under 12’s Girls / Boys
2:00pm - 3:00pm : Under 16’s Girls / Boys
3:30pm - 4:30pm : Open
5:00pm - 6:00pm : Best Tricks!
From 6pm : Prize giving followed by Dj's
All skaters must arrive and check in at least 30 minutes before their heat. There will also be a 30 minute warm-up session for each category before skating begins.
We’ve got prizes from Flatspot, Palace, Adidas, Antihero, Volcom, Yallah Coffee, Simpel, Habit, Vivo Barefoot, Disco and Outside, and every skater will receive a generous goody bag just for entering!
Please make sure you’ve read our skate rules and filled in the waiver form before skating. Under 16’s must wear protective gear, we’ll have a small selection available to hire or purchase in the cafe if needed. The bowl will be closed to non competing skaters for the day.
In the case of bad weather, the Skate Jam will be postponed to Sunday 7th June, so please make sure you’re able to attend both dates if you’re entering. Parking is limited and first come, first served, so we’d really encourage car sharing and arriving in plenty of time for your heat.
No picnics or off-site food and drink can be consumed on site. We have taps to refill water bottles and a full selection of food and drink available to purchase in the café throughout the day.
