Mosaics Workshop - Age 8 to 14

If you've been to Outside, you will have noticed the epic mosaic palm planter by the bowl. Michelle, our mosaic guru is coming back to host a few workshops for us!

In this two and a half hour kids/teen workshop each participant will learn the steps and techniques to create a piece of mosaic art. You will be provided with the materials and tools to cut, shape and set your tiles in the design of your choice. Michelle will then grout your piece after the workshop and it will be ready for pick up from the cafe the day after. We are hosting two of these workshops one from 10-12.30pm and the second from 1.30-4pm.

Michelle is a mosaic artist, printmaker, painter and maker living in Kingsbridge. She holds a diploma in fine art from Limerick college of art and design and an MA in printmaking from camberwell, she also studied mosaic under renowned mosaic artist Elaine Goodwin at Whitechapel art gallery in 1993.

Michelle has since run numerous workshops across a range of age groups, abilities and circumstances, from school children to adult education and community groups. Her recent Kingsbridge community mosaic project was funded by National Lottery and took a year to complete, encompassing workshops in 10 local schools and diverse community groups within the local catchment area.
