Your Tutor
Fran Sandover
Fran specialised in Ceramics during her time at Camberwell College of Arts, where she graduated with a BA in 3D Design. Since graduating, she has assisted classes and worked as a technician at Coombe Farm Studios, before helping to set up the pottery studio here at Outside.
During her time here she has taught a wide variety of classes, including mould making, raku, throwing and handbuilding. Her favourite thing about teaching is helping her students progress in their own way, focusing on each individual’s journey.
Her personal work is both sculptural and design-focused, as she aims to bridge the gap between art and functionality, drawing inspiration from the magic of Dartmoor and 1970s furniture design.
