4-Week Handthrown Mug Making Course : Sunday Afternoons *SOLD OUT*

In this four week course with Lauren Nicholas you’ll go from clay to cup, creating unique mugs you can proudly say you made yourself. Perfect for Christmas gifting or for adding a personalised touch to your kitchen collection. This course is ideal for those who have some experience on the wheel and looking to refine their mug making skills!

Week 1 will be spent refreshing skills on the pottery wheel and practicing throwing clay bodies

Week 2 will be throwing bodies again, refining shapes, throwing to design or creating repeat shapes

Week 3 you will choose your favourite thrown forms and learn to trim and add foot rings to your cups

Week 4 you will learn different techniques to make and attach your handles and explore some basic decorating techniques using slips and underglazes.

This course will be held on the dates and times below. All class dates for this course are set and can’t be amended. Please see our calendar for more courses.

24th November : 13:00-15:20

1st December : 16:00-18:20

8th December : 13:00-15:20

15th December : 13:00-15:20

*The last 20 minutes of each class is for tidying and cleaning your wheel/workstation.

All materials and firings are included in the course fee, we supply aprons but please wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty!

This course is suitable for ages 14+ and each course is for a small group of four people. We will let you know with as much notice in advance of any changes to the date or time of any of the classes.

Cancellations

You have 14 days from the time of booking to cancel or exchange your spot for a full refund. If you book within 14 days of the start date, no refund or exchange is available, but you can transfer your place to someone else.
