Our ceramic social is a weekly after work session where you can unleash your creativity and explore your practice freely in a relaxed, self-led environment. All ceramic disciplines are welcome to join, we have four wheels available to use during the session and in the unlikely event that we have more throwers than wheels we expect participants to share them during the two hours. Your pieces will be stored in the studio in-between sessions so that you can continue your work the following week, we recommend not leaving your greenware for more than a week to avoid it drying out completely.
Participants will need to have done a beginners course with us or similar in another studio, our tutors will be present during the session but only for guidance and advice and not for teaching purposes. Studio Materials
We supply Scarva Original Stoneware Clay ES5 with a firing range of 1200-1290 degrees along with a great selection of underglazes, slips and glazes that work within this firing range, due to the size of our studio and storage limitations we are unable to accommodate other clays or glazes with different firing ranges.
Session Costs
All clay, glazes, use of equipment and tools are included within the £30 session fee however we charge a small additional fee of £5 per item for the two firings, pricing may vary for much smaller or larger pieces.
If you plan to join this session regularly we recommend using a Session Pack for great savings, pricing would be as follows:
Silver Pack : £26.60 per session
Gold Pack : £25 per session
We supply aprons but please wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty! These sessions are suitable for ages 14+ and for a maximum of eight people, we will let you know with as much notice in advance of any changes to the date or time of these sessions. We expect participants to take into account the tidy-up of their wheel or workstation within the two hour session time.

Cancellations
You have 14 days from booking a session in which to cancel and receive a full refund or re-schedule, if you have booked last minute and there are less than 14 days before the date of the session no refund of exchange will be offered, but you can transfer the booking to a person of your choice to take your place.
