With a career that’s stretched over nearly two decades, Steve Gunn has earned praise as one of the most compelling voices in American experimental, guitar-oriented rock music. Born in Pennsylvania and residing in Brooklyn, he first gained attention as a member of Kurt Vile’s backing band, The Violators, before carving out his own path as a solo artist with his debut solo LP Way Out Weather.
His work continues to mark major milestones in contemporary guitar music and innovative songwriting, weaving through folk, jazz, indie and ambient terrain. His latest record Daylight Daylight was crafted in close collaboration with longtime partner James Elkington and draws on delicate fingerpicked melodies, evocative woodwinds and strings, and shimmering textures, the album has been described as both intimate and expansive “majestic enough to fill a theatre but contained and domestic,” with songs that feel gently breathed into being.
Set in our two-acre venue near Bantham Beach in South Devon, this show offers a rare opportunity to experience Steve Gunn in an intimate setting, surrounded by fire pits, food, drinks and the unique atmosphere that has made Outside a destination for live music in Devon.
Doors open at 6pm. Join us early for pizzas from 6–8pm, with happy hour running from 6–7pm and 10% off pizzas.
We'll have the fire pits lit outside and, in good weather, the skate bowl will be open to skate or watch before the show.

We have a total of 200 tickets available. There is no age restriction for this event however all children will require their own ticket and under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Please note that all tickets are general admission. We have very limited parking so please car share, cycle, skate or walk if possible! You will not receive a physical ticket for this gig, if you would like to purchase these tickets as a gift, please just let us know the name of the attendee/s after you've made your purchase as we will have a list of names on the door.
Cancellations & Refunds - These tickets are non-refundable except in the event of cancellation or rescheduling. If the event is cancelled, a full refund will be offered. If the event is rescheduled, you will have the option to transfer your ticket to the new date or request a refund if you’re unable to attend. Tickets are non-transferable without prior notice.
