The Spitters
WHATS ON
High voltage, no frills garage punk from The Spitters
From Toulon in the south of France, the quartet channel a mix of ’77 punk and modern garage energy à la Stiff Richards and Wine Lips, fast and hook-heavy. Over the past decade they’ve honed a sound rooted in pure sonic and melodic impact, culminating in their latest record Fake Brutal.
A turning point came in 2023 after crossing paths with UK band Bad Nerves in Paris, leading them to work with producer Mike Curtis on the new album, with mastering by Christian Wright at Abbey Road. The result is 13 tracks of unstoppable riffs and zero let-up.
Fake Brutal pushes beyond the expected. While still immediate and high-energy, it digs into darker, more introspective territory, tackling the superficiality of modern relationships and the normalisation of violence, offering a sharp perspective at a world slightly off balance, with flashes of hope cutting through.
Known for their raw, sweat-drenched live shows, this is fast, loud, and made for a room that moves.
