Feast Night with Jane Baxter
WHATS ON
The event brings together two remarkable figures whose careers have shaped very different corners of British culture. Jane Baxter, celebrated as one of Britain's finest seasonal cooks, is renowned for her simple, ingredient-led approach. From cooking at London's legendary River Café she set up the Riverford Field Kitchen and after spending seven years in the South Pacific, she returned to the South Hams to found Wild Artichokes with Sam Miller, earning acclaim for her exceptional vegetable-focused cooking and bestselling cookbooks.
Joining her is Nicky Holloway, one of the pioneering figures behind the UK's Balearic and acid house movement. After a life-changing trip to Ibiza in the summer of 1987 alongside Paul Oakenfold and Danny Rampling, Nicky went on to launch the legendary club night The Trip, helping introduce the Balearic spirit that transformed British club culture for a generation.
Together they'll host a one-off three-course feast celebrating the very best local, seasonal ingredients. Expect generous sharing dishes and great tunes, once the plates have been cleared, we'll turn up the volume and keep the Bank Holiday Sunday going late into the evening with music from Nicky behind the decks.
