Clara Mann comes to Outside this November in support of her second album, Wishbone.
While Rift, the 2025 debut album from folk singer Clara Mann, focused on repairing and finding hope, its follow-up, Wishbone, starts from a place of positivity and balance. Inspired by Marina Abramović’s performance Rest Energy as well as Leos Carax’s 1991 romance Les Amants du Pont-Neuf, it’s a record that comes to terms with, and delights in, the idea of growing into yourself as you age. It’s presented via songs that keep the special songwriting that was at the core of Rift, fleshed out with striking arrangements that echo the growth presented in the lyrics.
Support comes from heka, the project of Italian-English multidisciplinary artist Francesca Brierley. Blurring the lines between folk, experimental pop and more electronic sounds, heka creates delicate, atmospheric music built around intimate vocals, guitar, found sounds and unexpected textures. A genre-resistant songwriter and producer with a beautifully distinctive approach. Listen here
