Bess Atwell's music pairs intimate, emotionally honest songwriting with expansive arrangements, weaving together delicate melodies, textured instrumentation and subtle electronics into songs that feel both deeply personal and quietly cinematic
Her breakthrough third album, Light Sleeper, was produced by Aaron Dessnerof The National, who invited Bess to record at his renowned Long Pond Studio after discovering her music. Released to widespread critical acclaim, the record led to sold-out headline shows across the UK, Europe and North America, as well as her debut appearance at Glastonbury. Alongside glowing coverage from The Guardian, recent highlights include a beautifully understated BBC Maida Vale Studios live session for Steve Lamacq's BBC Radio 6 Music show.
With new music on the horizon and a fourth studio album due later this year, this is a special opportunity to experience one of Britain's finest contemporary songwriters in the intimate surroundings of Outside.
Support comes from the Dutch-born, London based Nana M. Rose, an indie-folk singer-songwriter with a striking vocal as timeless as nature's rolling hills. Her debut EP, “Nothing Ever Comes Close” was written with and produced by Max Clilverd (Tom Odell).
